121 y/o Cottage. Ceilings are 7/8" X 5" cypress T&G with the bead board design. This appears to be the same as the floors except the floors don't have the design in them.

I need to replace a few do to water damage. My understanding of how to do this is:

Cut a beginning and ending across the board using a multi tool
Cut out a center strip of the offending board using a depth set circular saw
Pull out the groove side
Pull out the tongue side removing nails as you go

I've done some floor boards in this manner. Are there any tips to make this easier while standing on a ladder or scaffolding and swinging a circular saw over your head one handed? Only idea I've had is a 4 1/2" lighter circular saw? Is this a good idea? Help please

Thanks!

Guess I got to go see if my Wife will let me check out my Man card and just get it done.

Many thanks fellas! At least now I know I'm on the correct path.
