Hello, This house is over 40 yrs old and it sits on a slab foundation, the heat/AC duckwork is built into the slab, when ever it rains alot of water gets into the duckwork, this has been going on for many many years, Is there anyway to fix this problem?

Check the slope (grading ) of the soil around the outside of your home. Does it slope away from the house or does it slant back toward the home? if it slants away correctly and you still have a problem then you might have to have an undrerground drainage system installed to catch the water before it gets to the slab and diverts it to the street or a lower area away from the home. Have a brother who had this same problem in Cleveland Ohio . He ended up putting in the drainage system underground about a foot or two from the slab and had it slanted to drain to the curb as part of the gutter / down spout system.
