What are the steps to replace a bathroom faucet set? What do I need to know? Is this a fairly easy job?

Fairly easy to do if you read the instructions that comes with the new faucet.
Turn the water off using the shut off valves under the sink.
Disconnect the supply lines.
Remove the nuts from the bottom side holding the faucet tight to the counter top.
Pull the old faucet out and reverse procedure to install the new faucet.
Each manufacturer has their own hardware for installing the faucet so the directions will guide you in the installation.

Using a special wrench to remove the faucet nuts will save you a lot of grief. Long handle and a reversible grip fitting on the end. Remember, DO NOT overtighten the nuts or the water supply lines. Tighten firmly. If they leak, just give them a little more turn. Rookies overtighten and ruin the fittings.
