Flashing/Drip Edge

Hi, I am new to this board and wish to know this. We recently put a new roof over our verandah and now we are putting up gutters. We have a metal roof. Do we need both flashing and drip line or one or the other? Thanks for any and all comments!

Your drip edge should flash the bottom edge of the roof as it terminates at the gutter. It should have been installed before the metal roof panels were installed.
