Should I use preasure treated furring strips at the bottome for the sill plate? By the way, I have learned to hate painting concrete block. The side of my basement not underground was not ever sealed, so I thought best to go ahead and learned just how pourus concrete really is.
 
Sounds like a good idea just make sure you use galvanized nails for the Pressure treated wood.

I just found out how fun that was my self.. I kept wishing i had used a sprayer.
I did it before with a sprayer and kept wishin i was using a roller.. i used a cheap wagner and it kept spitting and clogging on me...
 
Thanks Guyod, I wouldn't have thought about galvanized nails.
My first coat I used a brush because I didn't have a large NAP roller. It was terrible. Second coat I used the biggest NAP roller I could find. It was a piece of cake then. Right tools make all the difference.
