I am in the beginning phase of finishing my basement, and I plan on using the kilz sealant on my foundation prior to starting. My question comes that I have a radon system and per code I need to use a polyurethane caulk between my foundation wall and slab. Should I caulk before I use the kilz or should I seal the wall and then caulk?

Should I caulk before I use the kilz or should I seal the wall and then caulk?
Does Kilz stick to your selected [paintable] cured caulk, or vice versa?

I would lean toward Kilz then caulk. just my two cents.

not so fast, grasshopper :) 1st, do a 24hr moisture test on your walls & floor,,, then post back the results,,, kilz type pproducts 1st then sealant IF moisture tests ' GO ' !

did the moisture test and was dry as a bone, no moisture. Should I still use kilz?

its cheap & there's no better time than now to use it - w/my knowledge & experience, i would if it were OUR home,,, 2nd step, caulk - that should answer this thread :welcome:  nice job !
