Hey all.

I'm a plumber based in sunny Denver, CO.

I'm here to learn and contribute to the forums. Thanks in advance.

Hey, MJames . . . glad you're here.

Got a question: I demo'd a concrete shower pan to repair a broken supply line and rusted cast iron p-trap. I can restore the plumbing BUT I broke through the hot mop layer in the cement to get down that far. The hole is 18"x18" in a shower pan which is 3'x5'.

After repairing the pipes and laying a sand covering over the pipes, can I just re-pour with non-shrink cement? Is there a way to seal the cement with the hot mop layer gone?

Just askin the "Newbie."
