So I have a 3" water line and I dug up a valve. It's older and has a little surface rust but it was made in America so I would like to reuse it if possible. What do you think? Here is a pic of it.

The op nut on this one is under an inch of rust. I bet I could have gotten it working but didn't want to waste the time. It still held without leaking.
