A friend of mine has a three foot wide space in a closet. She would like to mount a flat screen tv to a panel that has been attached to hardware similar to a barrister's bookcase (or a single panel garage door) so that she can flip the tv out of the way when not in use.

The tv weighs about 20 pounds, so the hardware would have to be heavy duty. Does anyone know a) if there are commercially available units that small or b) have a recommendation for purchasing the hardware necessary for completing such a project?

I have seen a box built into a wall, mounted with two lazy susan hardwares one top and one bottom. They had a picture on the back so when it so you wouldn't no the tv was there. The outlet was in the closet and the wires ran down thru the lazy susan.

The lazy susan idea would probably be easier. The method you mentioned would probably have to be designed yourself. It would not be impossible, but it could be a lot of work.
