I know this site is mostly about home repairs, but i was needing some advice.I used to think I was a pretty good gardener, but I never can seem to grow good tomatoes. I've tried organic (which I prefer - I used composted cow manure), and I finally gave in this year and used Miracle Grow. The thing is, my plants always look great. Nice and bushy, dark green leaves, BUT, my "Big Boy" tomatoes get barely larger than golf balls. They are tasty, but where are the "monsters" they promise? I remember when I was growing up, my dad grew tomatoes that would overlap a slice of bread all the way around. I've never been able to do that. Any successful gardeners out there able to grow really awesome tomatoes? What's the secret, so I can do it right next year? THANKS!!!!! :D
