I just borrow these type of books through interlibrary loan and type up summaries. Some of the book is now outdated but the idea of Regulatory Capture is eternal, at least in the US.

I spend a lot of time at the library. Books like that though I prefer to own so I can pass them along when I'm done.

No, my plans aren't that long term. To friends and people I know. If I find a book I know someone else would enjoy when I'm done I read it and pass it along.

I've bought most of Hermann Hesse's books several times over.
 
I do have several of those.
