Cancer is such a prevalent disease, and yet we know so little about it. There are so many different kinds of cancer, but they all cause cells to grow, so there has to be a common link between all the different kinds of cancer that we're just not seeing.

That's what wins Nobel Prizes. Recognizing that you're missing a piece of the puzzle. Finding that piece and solving the puzzle so that it all seems so simple afterwards. And, then you slap your forehead and say, "Why didn't I see that earlier?"

Before Newton, asking why things fell when you dropped them was considered a stupid question. It turned out that asking that question revealed the force of gravity and the workings of the entire universe became apparant to us.

Hopefully, one day soon, someone will find the missing piece of the puzzle to the cure for Cancer.
