Drywall tape has been separating from corners for awhile now. Finally decided to dig into the problem. I found that the corners have no studs so that the drywall is only nailed down 4 inches from the corner. Any suggestions. I'm thinking I have to tear out the drywall and fix the framing or I'll continue to have the same problem.
Found out there are no studs in corners of room.

When the next stud is close to the corner, the framer often leaves the backing out although 4" is a bit of a stretch, you may need to add the backing.
