:hide: Replacing Stairs off the Back Deck.. Idea is to get Metal Stringers.. From the Top of the Deck Floor to the Interlocking Patio is 42 inches... How do I measure for the Stringer Size ?? Cheers Thanks. :help:

Are you talking about those pre-built type the lumberyard have? you will want one with 7" risers and 5 treads.

There are lots of ways to calculate this. I suggest an online calculator because you can customize the details to your situation.
