hello all,

I am going to be cleaning and staining my deck this weekend. It will be any where between 78-82 degrees out. I want to put two coats of stain on my deck since it is old. Once I put down the first coat of stain how long after that shou put the 2nd coat down?

Follow the instructions on the back of the can.

I always use the rule double whatever the recommend time of the product is, given different climate & weather conditions this will ensure that the stain will dry sufficiently enough.

A good sealer or stain will only need 1 good coat. You'd be wasting money by doing two. I use Cabot. You can get it at Lowes.
Make sure you power wash and let sit for a couple of days to make sure there is no moisture in the deck
