Here in deep SE (Upper Kuba) the swamp is constantly creeping back in. One of the most obvious places is on the sidewalk. Since our crib is on the corner, we've got prolly ~200' of it --- and it's black & gets slippery when wet. In the past that's meant a PITA long long chore with my pressure washer & nozzle. Groan. 
Well, that's gotten ALOT easier now, with the aid of a nifty $70 gizmo. Instead of screwin round with this for a few days, it took me only ~4 hrs. Oh yeah!!!
