I was wondering if any of you really clever types could help me with an idea I have. I'd like to come up with a contraption capable of pumping large quantities of diatomaceous earth into a yellow jacket ground nest. Something like a compressor hooked up to a PVC pipe but how to feed the dust into the air flow?
 
Use the Venturi affect. Hook compressor to end of pipe. Drill hole in pipe and install some poly tube into the hole. Other end of the poly tube goes in the jug of pesticide. When you apply the air it should draw the chemical up the poly into the pipe and into the hole. Very similar to the lawn spray products that you attach and apply with a garden hose.
 
Should work for yellow jackets as well.
