We have one window where brackets for blinds have been installed and moved several times. There are so many holes there now that we could not get the brackets attached securely when we put them back up after the window installation. How can this be repaired? I know we can't fix the holes with joint compound and then drill through that. Is there anything we could use to repair the holes that could be drilled through? Thanks again.

Hello StrayKatt:
The first thing is to make sure the screws will go into a framing member for a firm hold. Then, cover the area of the hole with adhesive fiberglass drywall tape and fill it in with compound. It will not hurt the compound to dirll through it after it has set for at least 24 hours.
