We have a carpeted bedroom right now, and it is starting to wear. We have plans to paint the room and thought that would be a good time to replace the carpet, but with what? I have thought that cork would be a nice replacement, but I am wondering if anyone out there has cork flooring and how do you like it? How well does it hold up? Would it be a good choice for a bedroom? I am not overly crazy about carpeting and 80% of our house is nice teak laminate flooring. Any thoughts would be appreciated.

They look nice....but can be tough to clean ...it is cork.

Cork looks nice and is pretty durable.
It's spongelike so messes get absorbed.
It can last a while. There is a home older than 100 years old in the Newport, Rhode Island mansions district with cork in it. They have tours in several antique houses there.
