What are some recommended underlayments for a floating cork floor for a slab-on-grade home?

I'm looking for the best compromise between sound absorption and comfort without being too bouncy.

The flooring has a thin layer of cork on the underside (1/16") in addition to the top layer (1/8") with a MDF core.
Installation will be in a kitchen.

I've heard some say to just use a 6 mil vapor barrier because it's cork; obviously there is also the 2-in-one barriers with foam and some labeled as 'quiet'. Another post when searching was a recommendation of using roofing felt.

We had installed traditional floating laminate in our old house with a 2-in-1 regular foam / vapor barrier and HATED the echo we had; especially with the 90# dog and her nails.
Obviously cork will be inherently better and we're down to a 50# dog...

Thoughts?

Thanks,
Steve
