I'm hoping to install a fan on our cathedral ceiling in place of an existing light fixture. It's too high in the air to control with the pull chains, will need a remote control.

Light is currently controlled by 3 switches.

Can I install a fan switch in place of one of the switches (something like this: http://www.homedepot.ca/product/hampton-bay-wall-control/966469) or will I need something wireless instead?

Thanks!

A couple ifs to look at. At the light you need power that is not controled by the light switch. If the power comes to the light before going the switch you could run your fan with a remote. Sometimes you will find an unused wire there for a fan and you just have to find where it goes. If the power goes to one of the switches first and there is no extra wire for the fan you will have to run another wire.
