I had the flooring guy come to my house and get the wood for the floors, he said he got the good stuff. Any time someone says that i get nervous, the wood that was purchased was somerset, does anyone have any experience with somerset? Is it good, bad, ugly? Just putting some feelers out there

Thanks

Hi Drew,

Somerset makes many varieties of wood flooring and you didn't mention what you chose. I installed a bunch in my own house a few months ago and can say it's really, really "good stuff".

We decided on Hickory in spice 4" wide. The finish is as good as the finest furniture you'll ever see. The widths, sizes and cuts are excellent, I didn't run off more than 1/64" anywhere. I installed about 700 ft.
