Has anyone used or seen the pine siding that makes your home look like a log home? I am looking for honest opion on this pine siding.

I've seen it but I'm not sure what sort of opinion you're looking for, besides and honest one. :)

If you mean whether it will withstand the elements, I suppose it's like anything else - if installed properly and maintained regularly, it should be okay. I've seen it on houses build in the '50s and still looked good.

Welcome T.J.:
All the siding jobs I have seen using the pine log look are holding up just fine. The ones I have seen are all stained and seem to hold the stain well. Pine siding I have seen has never been good about holding paint though. I think the pine logs have a ship-lap joint to turn the water.
You should be able to get the pine logs for much less than I would have to pay, since you live in the heart of the pine forest .
