Hi everyone- i'm new and unsure if this is the right place to post.
There is a small room, no door, solid brick walls with a skylight. We were told these rooms were popular in the 1980's and used as plant rooms. What do we do with it now? How can we renovate or repurpose? Any ideas?

You've got a lot of options here. Demos and add sheetrock, ditto but leave one wall brick for accent, glue on a wood wainscoting. stucco over it, add a chair rail- whatever your imagination wants can be done.

It's not my idea of style the way it is which shows why I advise against trendy things that go out of style unless they're easily and cheaply changed. I don't like the extra weight on the house either. Personally, I'd demo it and add sheetrock as that will never go out of style.

If it is above ground, you could look at installing some windows or just pad it for the kids or those wild nights when you don't want wake the kids.

What kinds of plants did they grow.:hide:
