I've rolled my popcorn ceiling before so I know I can paint that way.

I was thinking about using an airless sprayer instead this time. However, I've seen posts where it seems that this may be more trouble than its worth.

Any opinions?

For an occupied and furnished home, you'll be better off rolling.
Overspray dust will be on all horizontal surfaces and is hard to not get some spray onto the walls, especially if they are a different color than the ceiling.

In the time it would take to set-up for a spray job you can have it rolled, to say nothing of the area cleanup and cleaning the airless.:)

Roll it!:)
