Probably know the answer to this but thought I would toss it out there. The kitchen drawer fronts have become gummy and accumulate dirt, grease, etc. There is no way to clean them with detergent or scrubby pads. The problem comes back.

I suspect the original finish has simply broken down. The solution seems to be stripping the drawer fronts and applying poly again. These fronts are natural, not stained a different color. So I expect to apply a natural stain and at least two coats of poly.

What is the best thing to do??
