Hi,

I was wondering if it was possible to pour a slab for an addition over the septic line coming from the house to the septic tank?

Thanks
Dan

If its buried more than a couple of feet deep I would say yes. What is the worse thing that can happen? Years later you have an issue with the pipe and have to redirect a new line. It would propably be safer because there would be no trees around to have root problems.

But it doesnt mattter what we say it come down to what your local inspector says..

Like Guyod said..what the locals in your area say.
The issue is not always if you break the pipe, but sometimes you can cause underground problems like sinkholes under the foundation if it breaks...it's happened before.
Around here you need access to the pipe. Which means just direct it around inside the foundation, like regular waste lines.

Hope you find a way.:)

Sink holes would be bad ... didnt think of that...

I would not go down that road. Especially if you need to replace the septic system in the future.
