I have been asked by some friends to design and build a deck for them, but it has to have a wheel chain ramp on the side. Can someone please tell me, or provide a link that says what the rise over run is for a ramp. What is the angle that this ramp has to be at. Also, is there are particular considerations for this ramp? I have built decks in the past, but this is a new challenge for me. Tomorrow I am heading to the library to get some books on this, but I am hoping that someone here can tell me. Thanks. BTW, the deck is about 2 feet off the ground and is about 15 feet wide.

The best link I could find;

http://www.access-board.gov/research/Ramps/report.htm

It's a long read, but it answers many questions and contains many state requirements.

You being in Canada, may have even more specific regulations that may not be mentioned here, but this will surely help you get an idea of what you are looking for.
