I am wanting to reface my cabinets and had the idea of taking bamboo flooring, gluing it together, finishing the edges and then putting on the hinges and handles.
I was wondering if anyone has done this or if it sounds like it would work. I like the fact that its durable and looks great and that its environmentally friendly.
Any suggestions or further ideas would be great.
Thanks

Sounds like it would work! I'd be careful to seal the cut edges carefully, as that would be the most likely entry for water intrusion (if being used on a sink cabinet, for example).

Sounds like a great idea.
Should be visually distinct. Not gonna find that in a big box store.

For edge treatment, make rail and stiles out of solid bamboo laminate perhaps.
