I am a student at Gateway Technical college. Earlier I posted a thread asking what you would like to see in a new post hole digger because I am currently designing one. Now I am asking what type of material would you like to see in handles.

1. Wood

2. Fiberglass

3. Metal (i.e. steel, or aluminum)

Hello Gateway:
I vote for the fiberglass handles because they are impervious to the weather (except the sun will fade them). The yellow fiberglass handles make tools show up when pick-up time comes and will help prevent leaving a tool out for the night.

Fiberglass also has more give, for when you hit a rock...all the time up here in CT.

When fiberglass breaks it can shred and splinter. Metal would need coated handles for your hands. Handles break on post hole diggers that's just the way it is. Sell wood and offer a free extra handle as a promo. I'd buy one.
