This may be a silly question, but I recently replaced a tub spout which had water leaking out the back (toward the wall) when the diverter was pulled. This has stopped the leaking, but when the diverter is pulled up, there is no water flow out the tub spout so when you turn the shower off the diverter doesn't drop down automatically.

Is this a problem in any respects or just a nuisance I can live with?

The tub spout is just a simple Danco slip on tub spout w/ diverter. Thanks!

I had the same thing, after a few shot of cold while turning it on I learned to remmember to releice the water. It's a few years old now and has started to bleed off by itself.

Thanks I appreciate the help! Just wanted to make sure there wasn't something wrong I was missing!
