Greetings all.
I'm a homeowner doing my own work as the need arises. Have an older home from 1941.
I recently replaced all water supply lines with pex...with my own hands. This lead to re-doing the bathroom...2 walls, cement board, tub surround, new faucet & shower head, ceramic tile, vinyl tile, and sub floor repair. Plumbing in this bathroom was ancient and had no shower. Nice to have installed a new anti-scald valve and a shower!
I figure I can usually mess up a job about 10 times before I come close to approaching the cost of hiring a contractor...so...I put my own hand to it when I can. Fortunately, I usually get things right on the 1st or 2nd try.
Hoping to draw from other people experience and offer help, when I can.
Barry
