Hi! I'm trying to fix two outside corners that over the years have cracked and faded leaving parts of the metal corner bead exposed. I've tried covering it with compound but even with many layers, there's still bit of metal exposed. So Im wondering can paper faced bead be placed over old regular metal bead? I'm not very experienced when it comes to house repair so any advice would be greatly appreciated! Thank you!
