Default Replacement windows are new construction!

So although we ordered replacement windows from Crestline, they apparently don't sell "replacement windows". Only "new construction". Great. I am not planning to replace my siding. I was not planning to replace the brickmould around the windows today. But here we are and I am not sure what to do.

If possible, I would prefer not to cut off the flanges to do the installation. I will if I have to, but...

How am I to go about installing these windows. I'm not the most home savvy person, so use the simple words for me please!

I hate doing jobs twice so when changing windows I want to have a look at the wood around it. Most houses will have one or two windows with water damage. That's not what you wanted to hear is it.

It sounds like you are thinking about reducing the integrity of your windows...
Without knowing lots of details about your situation I can't give you really
good advice but I think you are going to have leaks at the very least and
windows that probably won't be firmly attached.

Since you say that you are not overly handy I think I would ask a licensed
contractor to give you a price on installing the windows correctly...Business
is not really booming these days and you might find it is an affordable option.

Best of luck with the project!
