I bought a small outside fountain and the wires are too short to reach my GFCI on my outside wall. On the 120 VAC transformer, output is "12VAC, 835mA, 10VA". The wire from the transformer to the pump is SPT-1W (two wires). I need to extend this SPT wire and put it inside conduit. The splice would be at both ends of the conduit, not inside. One splice will be inside the fountain body and the second will be in a weather proof junction box.

Moist locations. Will I be within code to do the above and are the wire nuts for moist areas o.k. to use inside the fountain, or is second weather proof box required?
