We were all newbies once. I expect a newbie to ask questions and get all the answers he can before making decisions to go ahead with what he feels comfortable with. Without imformation from places like this or a friendly pro, meny people just go ahead and do things that could well be dangerous. I would sooner keep him out of the breaker box.
