Default calcium deposit on faucet

I have a glass waterfall faucet. After using for a few months, calcium deposit on the glass (see photo). I have three questions:

1) My whole house has water softener, which should eliminate calcium in water. Why still have so much calcium deposit?
2) How to get rid of the calcium deposit?
3) How to avoid future calcium deposit?

Hope someone can help me out. Thank you.

Are you sure it is not salt from the softener? Does it easily clean off or is it stuck on?

I don't know whether it is calcium or salt. But it is extremely difficult to get rid of. I tried to use VIM cream but totally useless. How to tell is it calcium or salt?

CLR or any Lime-away type product might work. Use rubber gloves and eye protection. Also, try vinegar if that is all you have on hand.

Calcium deposits (lime) will be white when dry.

It is white in color, so it should be calcium. I will go get a bottle of CLR to see whether it works.
Thanks guys.
