Default licensing requirements

I am currently starting a painting business and am wondering about licensing. I want to get licensed but from my brief researching on it, it appears that to get my painting license I have to take 60 hours of classes. If anyone could help me out with this question it would be greatly appreciated and if so how much does it cost to get licensed. My business is located in Michigan

Welcome to the forum.

It will vary from state to state, I am in Alabama so I can not really say about Michigan. Go to the state site and view the requirements.
