I think I have trouble imagining framing for complex roofs.

My hole saw blades get pretty hot at high RPM unless I wax or soap the sides. Probably the teeth need to be reset, if somebody even bothers to do this.

A wet towel in a plastic bag should be all the insurance needed.

Yes you can get them sharpened and reset.
