Redoing the kitchen and need to put a hole in the wall for the microwave vent. Inside is drywall and stucco is on the other side. Will be using a rectangle vent. What tools are good for this job?

Also the old microwave had a duct that went up the cabinet, had 2 4" duct bends and went out through a 4" circle. What is a simple way to close this on the outside? Or can I just patch the inside and leave the outside duct alone?

Long story short the way the previous owner did this I can't use the same hole that's already there, and would prefer to vent the microwave straight out without all of these bends.

This pretty much covers the install. I would just put insuation in the pipe and tape the end before you close it up and leave the outside the way it is.

Yes. I would also leave the outside the way it is as long as it doesn't affect the new install in any way.
