I have two trees in the back yard that are near the edge of my koi pond. I'd like to uproot and relocate them a to about 5 yards away. They'rr not that big, maybe 8ft tall ith small branches and bodies. Last time I uproot a similar size tree it died :(

Merci Beacoup!

You can estimate the size of the root ball by the size of the crown of the tree. An 8ft tall tree will be a challenge because of the weight of the root ball. I've also heard that some trees are just hard to move because they are shallow rooted, like a dogwood. You might find more info online by searching the word transplant instead of uproot.

Interesting to know you can estimate size of rootball by the crown. Did not know that. Thanks!
