Guys, I have already asked this question;however having a hard time deciding since I am green in this area....I went to Sherwin William and asked their opinion on this primed T-111. The lady recommended a paint by the name of Durations. I took some color samples home. After the decision on the color, I went back up today and now a different male employee said that I should use solid stain by the name of woodscapes. I just don't understand how what the stain would do if it is primed? Also how would it look?

I used a good quality exterior paint on the garage doors I made from T1-11 last year and it looked great and really stuck. I don’t get the solid stain ether. Just be ready to use a lot more paint than you think.

Would have been fine and lasted a whole lot longer then paint if it had not been primed.
