So my toilet flange is busted and I tried to remove it but I was only able to remove an outer diameter piece that had the slots for the closet bolts. I'm left with a hard to remove, plastic type piece that won't budge. I do not know if this is part of the sewer pipe or a stubborn piece of flange. Please take a look at my photos below and let me know.

Thanks in advance

Flange before the cracked outter piece was removed

After removing said piece

You will need to purchase a flange repair kit in order to properly secure your toilet.

That is your sewer pipe. The flange surrounds that pipe and will allow the toilet nuts to be secured, then a wax ring stops the leaks.
