i have patched all around the house where the stucco and foundation come together. It's an old house and the stucco goes below grade.

The black line is the floor level inside the house.
This picture was before any prep work.

To prep, I dug out any loose stucco, dirt, etc behind the stucco, at the edges.
i chipped up the smooth face on the foundation. Wire brush. High pressure water.

Here's the patch.

I used type S mortar (No good reason why. I've used it before and had some on hand.)

I mixed Portland cement/water and painted it on first, then packed in the mortar.
Took at least 3 (some places 5) layers (?) of mortar to get the finished shape.
Left rough surface between coats.
Kept the mortar wet 6 times a day for a couple weeks. (But it still dried at before I got up in the morning:hide:)

Anyway, now what ?

What do i use to waterproof, seal, paint ?
I want to paint over the new patch and the existing paint.

Thanks !:beer::beer:
