Default moving out

Greetings, I'm in the process of designing/building an outdoor kitchen. So far it seems to be a fairly straightforward undertaking. My question concerns the sink. I want to connect the sink to the existing waste line, I'm on city water and sewer. what's the best way to tie into the sewer line? Do I need to install a vent? If so how tall does it have to be and how do I hide it? I'm accustomed to working with exsiting plumbing, so this is new to me. Any help will be appreciated.
