Default Bamboo problem

The side of my rental house has a huge section of bamboo that has taken over. I chopped them all down but now I find shoots in the middle of my yard 20 feet away from where they were. Should I kill them with a pesticide or how do I stop their growth?

In this great universe of thinking minds, no one has beaten bamboo.
Good Luck

I think that the bamboo on Bikini Atoll was stunted for a few years....
