I just bought my house in July and there is a pocket door from the master bedroom to the bath ....the way it's layed out is impossible for a regular door. However, there is something wrong with the door itself .....it is VERY hard to pull closed and push open. It doesn't seem there is anything wrong with the track (or as far as I can tell), but there are scratch type marks in the middle of the door as if the door is rubbing in the wall.

What is the best way to diagnose this? And ....how do I get the door out to take a look?

Hello TheseDays:
There is probably a nail or screw binding against the door.
Take the door stop (trim) out of the opening, next to the hollow wall and the butt wall. This will allow you to swing the door to one side and lift it off the track to take it down. Now, you can shine a light into the hollow wall, find the culprit and cut it off.
Reinstall the door and stops.
