Certainly your thoughts are worth more than a penny in today's inflated economy, but it is the penny that has stirred up a keg of controversy. We take a close look at that controversy and even jump right into it. Take a look. We also take a close look at the new DeWalt DW311.

Graham, Lots of theories on the penny weight of nails. The truth being the d coming from the romans and back when, there was only one type of nail, the hand made square nails used since the 15th century and it was so many pennies per 100 nails. When the round nails were invented in the very late 19th century and into the 20th century they developed the different styles of nails such as common, and finishing. The common nails are the ones that have held true to size based on the original square nails.
