I am planning to remodel my home and am looking to have the exterior repainted and the windows replaced. I have talked to both the window and painting contractors and they give me conflicting suggestions - the window guy says window replacement should go first, but the paint guy says exterior painting should go first. I don't know people who have experience with this - any help and advice?
Thank you

Just my opinion; I would want to replace the windows first that way and scratches (as a result of installation) or exposed wood could be touched up with paint.

kok328 is right. i would put the windows in first. but you could touch up later if painted first. don't fret too much over this. just make a decision and go with it. it's a double edge sword either way. my trouble with running sub crews is each one of them thinks it's all about them, not working together with other subs. it is what it is. budro
