Should I re-use this baseboard, or buy new?

I removed all of the baseboard trim for drywall and flooring work. It all came off pretty easy, with very little damage. I was going to replace it, but I was thinking it might save me time and/or money if I filled the holes, repainted it, then re-installed it, since it's already cut to size. If I do buy new I can borrow a miter saw, so that's not a cost to be factored.

What would you do?

If you're happy with that baseboard, just reuse it as you described

Thanks, I am.

I would have left them in place, they often go in before the floor.

I thought about it, but I had a couple reasons for deciding to pull it. First, the condo was smoked in. I want to prime the entire wall with Kilz to try to eliminate as much of the odor as possible. Second, I'll be going with either laminate or tile throughout the condo, so chances are the baseboard will be the wrong height anyhow.

The molding had chaulk around the edges, and you would have just added a shoe molding to the bottom, but that's how we gain experience. You will know for next time.
Smoke isn't so bad, one want to try to hide the smell of currie.

Hah, I imagine currie permeates in much of the same way.

Experience indeed, I didn't know what shoe molding was before your post! My guess is I'd actually have to raise the baseboard, but what do I know :D

Sorted and de-nailed it today. Since I have to paint it anyhow, and the material is in good shape, I decided I'm going to try to reuse it :)
